Review:

Sex Metal from Russia. Phil reviewed their last outing, 'Child of Fire' in Sept of last year, and apart from one track, I understand the lyrics of that record were in Russian. 'Late Stone Age' is sung in English, and the band still describe their music as Industrial Sex Metal. Some good rock and metal we have here, and there are certainly Industrial influences running through the record too. The album is a mix of the modern and aggressive featuring Nightwish style choral operatics and orchestration to boot. Indeed, Nightwish I suppose could be a subtle reference point for Kaira's music, although with that aforementioned aggressive stance. This is a consistent release and I like it. I am not 100% sure, but I do not think that lyrically this album is as sexually extreme as their last effort, even though that was sung in Russian. However, the track 'Step#2' certainly has a sexy erotic feel :). I like this album and it rocks!!! Check them out at www.myspace.com/kairarussianband ...8.75/10 (Reviewed by Dave)
